1) Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
For a new student coming into the course I would say consistency is key. If you want to keep up with an online course you must schedule time during the week to watch lectures and work on assignments. Once you have a schedule made, you must stick to it to avoid missing anything in the course.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
I first struggled with what my entrepreneurial idea would be. But, I didn't give up and I racked my brain for an opportunity that would relate to myself. I very happy with the opportunity I have decided to pursue and I'm learning quite a bit about a topic that interests me in the process. Since the problem is is one that I suffer with too I feel I am more tenacious in my efforts to pursue a solution.
3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
My three tips would include:
1. Don't be afraid to ask questions and dig deep.
2.Choose a problem that you can relate with.
3. If you ever hit a roadblock don't give up. You can always ask others for advice!
Travis, it was nice to see your input and opinions on how your semester is going. I’m really glad you are happy with the opportunity you decide to pursue, because that idea is very great! I applaud you for having such determination and never giving up for the entire semester, especially with finding solutions to perfect your product. I really wish you best because I know exactly how you feel when it comes to missing packages. Great job!
